Facts About AIDS

August 4, 2009 by freekydde0asquare

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome Respiratory or more commonly known as AIDS is one of the worst diseases that anyone can have. Until now, there is no known cure has been discovered. Only medicines that can help suppress the manifestation of the disease. It is important to know the essential facts about AIDS in order to prevent this type of disease.

AIDS is transferred through exchange of bodily fluids that may occur from casual and unsafe sex. But it may also be transferred through blood transfusions and the sharing of drug paraphernalia, including needles. The virus known as human immunodeficiency Virus or HIV infiltrates the body’s systems and goals of the lymphatic system. That destroy the body of antibodies making us more vulnerable and open to other illnesses and complications.

The manifestation of AIDS is not immediate. Most times, you will have the disease, but after so many years, nothing is happening in your body until one day, you will experience a sudden and what the difference is known, it is too late to act.

If you want to know if you have AIDS, it is better to know the importance of the Facts About AIDS. The first thing to do to be safe is to abstain from unprotected sex for 6 months. The reason behind this is that HIV is not immediately apparent in the bloodstream. Although the HIV today, if you have a blood test tomorrow, you will always get a negative, even if the process is repeated for the next five months. This is what I call false-negative window period. This is the moment the virus does not manifest in our body.

This is a big problem that anyone can have. But amid the threats imposed by this disease, there is always a method to avoid having this disease. The most important facts about AIDS is knowledge of how to avoid it. For example, refrain from having sex with strangers. Much of the population with AIDS is caused by casual sex. Also, always practice safe sex. Condom use in sex may diminish, at least, the probability of acquiring it. Do not share needles and always make sure that everything is safe to puncture. Finally, make sure the donor blood is safe for them to have. There is a case in the U.S. where the patient acquired AIDS due to their donor is. Apparently, the tests showed negative, but this was only one false negative through the window period.

It is far better to prevent than to have to cure this forever. The best remedy we have today is drugs. But you have to take forever and change the combination, because at some point, the virus learns to resist it.

These are just some facts about AIDS that is worth knowing. Practical ways of preventing AIDS is much better to suffer serious consequences.

The Cause of AIDS – A Different Perspective

July 31, 2009 by freekydde0asquare

While science says that smoking, poor diet, and genetic anomalies, such as are said to be causes of the illness of science can not yet say definitively what the root causes. AIDS is said to be caused by the HIV virus – but What Causes HIV?

AIDS and cancer research have come a long way, but if the cause of the disease do not know how truly effective treatments are. A disease can be “cured” only to discover that there are other diseases that take their place. Cancer treatments to treat the symptoms of a disease. Which do not address the causes of it.

Could it be that science has it all wrong in regard to the root causes of the disease? After all, the official vision of the world at the same time insisted that the world is flat, and the masses of people believe that limiting the growth and progress that could otherwise have taken place. Just because something is believed to be true and is backed by the full weight of science and the medical profession is not true.

It is the opinion of this author that AIDS and Disease in general, must be considered from a different perspective. The rational or logical approach said that the results have natural physical causes. The intuitive approach said that despite all appearances of the physical symptoms of the disease have other physical causes.

I submit to every reader of this article to keep an open mind and not dismiss what I say out of hand, and let your instincts be your guide.

Disease is not from physical – it’s mental or psychological. Mental or psychological cause genetic mutations and out-of-control cell growth. This may seem like total nonsense, as many, but little is known about the effect of thoughts, beliefs and emotions in the body. It is believed that because these properties are not natural mind can not directly affect the body. The body is energy, however, and what appears to be no physical properties of the mind can be said to have enough real electromagnetic charges. Disease is caused by mental states that directly affect the functioning of the physical body. If this is not considered a very real possibility of the causes of the disease always escape us.

AIDS exists in a social framework and is based on a strong dissatisfaction with social conditions. People who develop AIDS believe that their expression has been frustrated in life forms and the fear that the public thinks of them as not human or as an anomaly of the species itself. They believe that growth has been denied and are angry at a society that are not accepted. In many cases there is also a self-hatred and a sense of shame. These feelings and beliefs are loaded and weaken the immune system and causes changes in the physical structure that manifests as AIDS.

HIV / AIDS Discrimination in India

July 18, 2009 by freekydde0asquare

India is one of the 2 largest countries of the world population, with over one billion inhabitants. Of this number, it is estimated that roughly 7 million Indians are currently living with HIV. HIV emerged later in India than in many other countries. Infection rates increased during the 1990s, and today the epidemic affects all sectors of Indian society, not just the groups – including commercial sex workers and truck drivers – with which it was originally associated . The large size of India makes it difficult to examine the Effects of HIV in the country as a whole. Most states of India have a population greater than most African countries, so a more detailed picture of the crisis can be gained by looking at each state individually.

In a country where poverty, illiteracy and poor health are rife, the spread of HIV presents a daunting challenge. The epidemic in India remains concentrated in populations with high risk behavior characterized by unprotected paid sex, anal sex, and injecting drug use with contaminated injecting equipment. Several high-risk groups have a high HIV prevalence and sexual networks are wide and work actively. According to the Organization India National AIDS Control (NACO), the majority of HIV infections in India occur during unprotected heterosexual sex. Accordingly, as the epidemic has matured, women represent an increasing proportion of people living with HIV (38 percent in 2005), especially in rural areas. The low rate of multiple concurrent sexual partners among the general public seem to have, so far, the agency enhanced protection for those with 99 percent of the adult indigenous population is HIV negative. However, although the prevalence remains low in general, relatively small increases in rates of HIV infection in a country of over one billion people could result in a large number of people infected.

The ‘Rainbow Nari O Shishu Kally Foundation identified four major approaches in a groundbreaking study on the spread of HIV in Asia. This study was conducted by comparing the social-economic norm, family structure, economic dependency, cause of mounting sex industries, gender discrimination, and the overall analysis. Four factors seem to play a crucial role in HIV transmission in the countries of Asia: Injection / intravenous drug use (sharing needles), female sex work (Due to lack of knowledge of safe sex) gender discrimination (women indirectly the commercial sex trade or not) of the same sex / gay / Hizra (Due to lack of information on HIV / AIDS, because they act invisible in this society). Poverty and illiteracy fuel proportionally.

Beginning in the 1990s, as infection rates continue to rise, the responses have been reinforced. In 1992 the government established NACO (the National AIDS Control), to oversee the formulation of policies, the prevention and control programs related to HIV and AIDS. In the same year the government launched a Strategic Plan for HIV prevention. This plan established the administrative and technical basis for program management and also to establish the State AIDS bodies in 25 states and 7 union territories. Was able to make a number of important improvements in HIV prevention, such as improving blood safety. The HIV / AIDS program specialist Mr. Mohammad Khairul Alam said, “several social norms and immature behavior fueled this disease to scatter rapidly. There are several social components link to develop this harmful situation. Poverty-behind to force it, Gender discrimination plays a role; frustration and risk behavior help to sink humanity resulting infection. The link between poverty and gender discrimination are help reduce socio-economic prosperity. This link creates several antisocial issues also poisonous. As trafficking to prostitute, sell sex for earn or living, break down family norm to create frustration and driven by the drug. We see easily that Illiteracy is the main slogan of all circumstances. Therefore, it is not easy out of the society, several programs and strategies are needed to gain sustainable position “.

In early 1986, despite more than 20,000 reported cases of AIDS around the world, India had no reported cases of HIV or AIDS. It was acknowledged however that this would not be the case for a long time, and expressed concerns about how to deal with India, after HIV and AIDS cases began to emerge. Recent data suggest there are signs of a decline in HIV prevalence among sex workers in areas where focused interventions have been conducted, particularly in the southern states, although in general the levels of prevalence in this group remains high. The data also indicate that there is a slow decrease in HIV prevalence among the general population in southern states. Although it requires further analysis, this probably means that the number of people newly infected with HIV is decreasing. This decrease is more perceptible in states like Tamil Nadu where the intensity of HIV prevention efforts has been high.

People living with HIV in India come from the incredibly diverse backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles. The vast majority of infections occur through heterosexual sex, and most of those infected do not fall into the category of “high risk groups” – although the members of such groups, including sex workers, men who have sex with men, truck drivers and migrant workers, face a higher risk of infection. See our page on the affected groups in India for more information.

Women and Hiv/aids

July 18, 2009 by freekydde0asquare

Both men and women receiving highly active combination antiretroviral therapy, or HAART. Can decrease the incidence of opportunistic infections, delay the onset of AIDS, and increase life. There is no doubt that HAART is beneficial for people with HIV.

However, there are many unanswered questions on HAART. This is especially true for women on HAART and the prevalence of HIV and AIDS in the Women population is significantly higher. Due to this higher prevalence, more data are available on the effects of therapy for men than for women. As with any new treatment regimen, we must be careful to monitor your health with your doctor. If you are a woman who is HIV positive, the following suggestions may help you and your healthcare provider to monitor their treatment regimen, and the impact on their health.

Therapeutic Drug Monitoring

The appropriate dose of drug varies from person to person, and individual responses to drugs against HIV are unique to each individual. Body chemistry, liver function, and in general health can determine whether you are taking enough of a drug, or too little of a drug. Their measure is a test that determines the amount of the drug is present in the bloodstream. This can help you and your doctor determine if you are receiving too much or too little of the prescription medication.

Lipodystrophy

Lipodystrophy is a side effect of drugs against AIDS and HIV, and affect men and women very differently. Lipodystrophy is a medical term that describes abnormal accumulation or degeneration of the body adipose (fat) tissue.

Lipodystropy typically associated with HAART considers that men suffer more loss of limbs and face. Men also tend to experience elevated cholesterol and triglycerides. Women often experience more accumulation of fat in the breasts and abdomen, and not experience the same elevated cholesterol and triglycerides. This may be partly due to the fact that women often experience shorter regimens of HAART, the fact that women accumulate body fat than men, and hormonal differences.

Low bone density

Low bone density is another side effect of medicines for HIV and HAART. This becomes a bigger problem in women who are long-term survivors of bone density in women declines naturally with age, or may already be present. HIV positive women should have their bone density checked regularly. The above factors can lead to premature osteoporosis-like symptoms in women, and injuries and illnesses associated with it.

Side Effects

HIV-positive women report more side effects of HAART more often than men. Nelfinavir and ritonavir have more serious side effects in women. Nelfinavir typical side effects include itching and rash, and moderate to severe abdominal pain, but fewer cases of diarrhea that ritonavir. Moreover, women tend to take ritonavir report nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, malaise and fatigue. Women with HIV are also more prone to rashes than men when taking Nevirapine, Atripla, and Delavirdine.

It should be noted that the majority of dosing regimens are based on data from clinical trials where men are the sampling and analysis. This in turn reinforces the importance of the measure to ensure that you are taking the correct amount of medicine for you.

Highly active combination antiretroviral therapy may reduce the incidence of opportunistic infections, delay the onset of AIDS, and increase life. There is no doubt that HAART is beneficial for people with HIV. There are still many unanswered questions. These drugs are not without possible side effects and long-term toxicity. It is also important to note that adherence to HAART regime provided by your doctor will also help reduce the likelihood that the HIV / AIDS virus will develop resistance to medication. If you are considering this therapy or are already being treated to ensure that doctors follow the guidelines, and maintain regular visits to ensure the best possible health.

Causes of AIDS

July 16, 2009 by freekydde0asquare

It is a fashion common among people who can contract AIDS by any of the ways in which they are aware of, but the fact is that one can never directly affected by AIDS. Usually, HIV is the virus that reduces and eliminates the body’s immune system and is a gradual process through which one can acquire AIDS.

This disease is not caused by any deficiency in the body, as other diseases. Can only be “recruited” by external actors. Normally, if hired direct contact with body fluids of the person concerned. Body fluids can include blood or sexual fluids. Tears and saliva of change might not be as damaging.

The Causes for HIV and AIDS, therefore, are:

1. Having intercourse with an infected person.

2. Sharing needles with someone who is infected.

3. HIV from an infected mother to child.

4. Chest by a woman infected with HIV.

5. Transfusion of blood from an HIV infected person.

6. However, if the blood of an HIV Infected person enters the body (eg, a kiss of HIV / AIDS infected person bleeding gums).

However, AIDS or HIV is not transmitted through saliva and tears, but oral sex can lead to it. There are certain cases in which oral sex may or may not lead to it, but precaution is always better than cure, especially when there is no cure!

Medical experts say that without any medication and HIV positive person (with a healthy balanced diet) can take up to ten years for AIDS.

Historical Perspective of HIV / AIDS and HIV

June 30, 2009 by freekydde0asquare

On the date December 1 2007 many people around the world together to show they were concerned about the same in the world aids day. Was first established in 1988 and was an attempt to raise the issue at the front of the people to know about it. Since this disease has been discovered that tell more than 27 million people have died from this disease.

The first known HIV Infection was found in 1959. Many scientists believe that the sub-species of chimpanzees have been the reason for this type of virus and we all know that the disease spread from a monkey. This fact was discovered between the years 1940 and the early 1950s.

Now I would like to describe what happened during some periods in the past 50 years. The description is as follows:

1. 1979-81
There were 31 deaths during the early 1981 and around 234 deaths in 1981. Those who do not take enough precautions were most to be effected by this disease. And this was the period when many of these cases were discovered. During this period, known as the CDC.

2. 1982
In 1982 there was a revolution in the research being conducted on the Causes of AIDS. There are many reasons to say that I found and the name of AIDS, which relates to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome was given to this disease in 1982 alone.

3. 1983
This year 33 countries have confirmed that some of its citizens who suffer from this disease. I must say that many of the investigations are being carried out during this period.

4. 1985
This was the year that the actor Rock Hudson died of AIDS. Ryan White was expelled from his school in the state of Indiana, as it was found suffering from this disease. This was the year that our president in the Ronald Reagan first used the word AIDS in public. This was the first time the word was used AIDS in public.

5. 1990
This was the year that Ryan White died of AIDS after the fight for admission to some schools. Your age at the time was only 19 years. I must say that this forced the Congress to think about AIDS. An act passed in this year to help patients with AIDS.

Since then a lot of work has been done for AIDS patients and believe that there is no respect in society.
